The reusable bag has been an important environmental step over the last few years. Especially here in the U.K. when the government made it law that companies must charge customers for the plastic bag that they provide. To discourage people from wanting one because it was free.
Please understand dear reader that we have a very long way to go when it comes to saving our planet but any step, even though in the grand scheme of things it is a very small change should still be applauded. A similar such step has been seen on the Catwalks in the last few seasons. In that we have seen fashion designers having reusable bags on the runway. Yes, reusable bags have become a trend. We saw designers like Fendi, Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga. Most trends come and they go but there are a handful of trends that stay like the ‘Little Black Dress’ for example let’s just hope the humble tote bag is taken in by this small group.
Sustainable fashion has been around for a long time but only in the past few years has it been in forefront of people’s minds.
For you at home who think that they need to get a certain type of looking tote bag to be up to date with this latest trend, you maybe right. However dear reader I encourage you to have any reusable bag you want and as many as you want. Please let’s do as much as we can to save the environment. This is just one of the small things we can do at home to help reduce our plastic use.
